Homework

Homework is viewed as a valuable part of the learning experience of children attending Redcar Community College.  Regular opportunities to work at home encourage students to develop the skills, confidence and motivation needed to study and work independently.

Students are able to attend the homework club that has up-to-date computer facilities, access to the library and other resources.

Electronic Gateway

Increasingly we expect more of our students to carry out research on the Internet and develop extended projects to demonstrate their independent learning skills.  All our students have access to ICT equipment, an email address and access to electronic storage.  Students and parents have access to on-line information systems which allow them to access the personal information that is held on them, attendance data as well as exam results and assessment data. The system also provides everyone with an electronic calendar of events and holiday information. Usernames and passwords will be given out in September.
