Shine, an annual festival held in Redcar, took place in Zetland Park on Sunday, attracting thousands of visitors who were entertained by gigantic art works, including papier mâché puppets made by Year 9 from Redcar Community College.
The day, which was full of exciting activities, included live music, face painting and a bouncy castle.

 June 21st-25th saw RCC’s first Maths Week. Students were treated to a week of fun maths activities designed to demonstrate to students the relevance of maths outside of the classroom. Starting with year 9s on Monday 21st we had a ‘mathmagician’ visit school to demonstrate to staff and students how maths is used in performing magic tricks. |

Montoro (Cordoba) 28th May - 6th June 2010 Mr Rees, Mrs Skeoch, Miss Jerry and Mrs Lopez took a group of 20 students (a mixture of Y8, Y9 and Y10) to Montoro, Cordoba (Spain) to take part in the first phase of our bilateral project (funded by Comenius) with our host Spanish school (IES Santos Isasa). |

For the fourth year in a row the dance students at Redcar Community College created another fantastic performance for International Dance Day. There were nearly 70 students ranging from Y7 toY11 performing to approximately 600 people over the 3 days. |
